There is a mix of new to me and my old favorite events listed under my Upcoming Events tab, but I wanted to share a word about each of them before Thanksgiving and other holiday craziness overtakes me.
First off, I’m participating in the Sudbury Art Association Holiday Market again this year. It is the 13th year of this cooperative pop-up! This year we find ourselves in a new location within the T.J. Maxx plaza on Boston Post Road in Sudbury. I love the store and group we have participating this year! This may be the best year yet with over 35 participating SAA members. People will find demos, book signings, live music days, kids craft events, even the girls scouts will show up to sell their cookies! Check out the SAA Holiday Market page for the schedule of events. You can find my set-up just to the right inside the door.
SAA Holiday Market
Open daily now through December 24. (Closed for Thanksgiving)
All of the artists work in the store. My shifts are:
December 2nd 10am – 2pm
December 9th 2pm – 6pm
December 23rd 2pm -6pm
If you know me, you know that I’m an active volunteer in my local community. This year you will find me at Stow Place Like Home at the Sanctuary in Maynard for local shopping night to benefit the Stow Community Chest. This is my first time participating in what is sure to be a fun and feel good event with 20 artists and local businesses contributing!
November 17 (6pm – 9pm)
Bolton Artisans Guild & Friends Holiday Show is one of my favorite venues at Babacool Arts studio and grounds. This is a fun outdoor event that I enjoy every year! I’ll have my latest pieces fresh out of the soda kiln.
November 19th (10am – 2pm )
A first for me this year is the Weston Art and Innovation Center’s Holiday Market. I’m really excited to be included in this amazing group of artists this year. If my firing goes as planned, I hope to have a new garden stack at this event. Fingers crossed!
Located at 356 Boston Post Road in Weston.
December 3rd (10am – 4pm)
Lastly, my absolute favorite sale is the Good Friends Holiday Sale in Bolton. This is such a hard to describe event. We are a group of friends that get together to share our wares. I’ll have my pottery but there is a range of jams, jellies, fiber gifts, and other unique gifts. It is a fun experience for the visitors and those of us putting the event together. My advice for those that come to visit is when you enter the front door loop around clockwise a time or two, then do at least one loop in the counter clockwise direction before exiting through the kitchen.
December 4th (1pm – 4pm)
Whatever your holiday celebrations are I wish everyone a happy, healthy holiday season! Be well!!
